The kitchen staff was very attentive and quick to take care of us (Shout out to Desiree) our waitress. We loved our stay and are ready to comeback soon. We both agreed no other hotel could match where we just stayed so like I said we’re definitely coming back but for a suite this time.

For tourist/visitor information email us at or to book a facility please contact us at Built in 1912, the Roger’s Furniture Building was built over 100 years ago by a pair of architects from Seattle, following El Paso’s economic boom during the Mexican Revolution. Having ceased to be a furniture store in the 1960’s, it is now a gathering place for the region. Everything in the place is a reflection of their taste and the world’s influence over this region past and present; from the architecture to the furnishings and art. Blending culture and hospitality with unique amenities, the Stanton House is the driver for community engagement and exploration.

It took us a minute to figure out the bathroom DOES has a sliding door for privacy...haha. The location is so great and there were hopping bars (the Tap) and restaurants (so many) all around. They have a bar and dining area which were both pricey and quiet without much ambiance that we noted, but upstairs there is a neat gallery with SO MANY cool local artists.

As for our room - all in all it was very comfortable and quiet. The mini bar was stocked with soft drinks, beer, water, and even multiple full size liquor bottles - which all came at the typical higher price you usually encounter at hotels. Lastly, I appreciated the extra security my room key offered as every night the front doors of the hotel would lock at around 10pm and ultimately the only access to the hotel was offered by your own key card. In other words, you couldn't enter the hotel past 10pm without a key. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Thursday that Russia had launched more than 300 missiles of various types, almost 300 Shahed-drones, and more than 3,200 guided aerial bombs at Ukraine in April alone. The attack hit a sorting depot belonging to Ukraine’s biggest private delivery company, Nova Poshta. No staff were injured, the company said, but the strike started a major fire. Also, Russia launched its third attack in a week on Odesa, firing ballistic missiles at the southern Ukrainian port city and injuring 14 people, local officials and emergency services said.

Events

Most were intercepted in Bryansk, where five were brought down, it said. The governors of three Russian regions reported that energy facilities were damaged by Ukrainian drone strikes overnight. Oryol region Gov. Andrei Klychkov said energy infrastructure was hit in two communities. The Smolensk and Kursk governors reported one facility damaged in each region.

Friendly service as soon as you walk in, opted to sit at the bar and had great service the entire evening. The schnitzel with the mushroom sauce was one of the best I've had in a long time...

I am more of a liquor drinker, but I tried three different beers and loved them all. The food here is high quality and delicious. If you haven't been here yet you need to give it a try... Not busy on a Thursday evening but made the first visit even better. The food was good, loved the bratwurst and sauerkraut, plus glad not to have to rely on a food truck.

Aside from the service tunnels, there are also abandoned subway and equestrian tunnels from the days before personal vehicles began clogging up LA’s city streets. There are stories of these tunnels being used by police to transport prisoners, bank security to move large sums of cash safely, and both coroners and mobsters to store bodies. Now they are mostly closed off, but some are still accessible and are used as film locations, easy shortcuts by city employees between buildings, and a place for runners to train on the rare occasion of bad weather. Nash was allegedly involved in the quadruple Wonderland Murders in 1981; the suspected motive was as a retaliation for the robbery of Nash's home perpetrated two days earlier by three to five men. A key player in the incident, adult film performer John C. Holmes, was later acquitted of the murders.[10]Nash and Holmes were well acquainted with each other; Nash enjoyed introducing his countless houseguests to Holmes, who was infamous for playing the X-rated movie character "Johnny Wadd." Despite prohibition laws, 11 miles of service tunnels became passageways to basement speakeasies with innocuous fronts above ground.

On June 30, 2011, House exercised an option clause in his contract, agreeing to a one-year, $1.4 million extension with the Heat.[13] On Christmas Eve, he was waived by the Heat without playing a game for them during the 2011–2012 season. On April 13, 2011, vs the Toronto Raptors, House scored a career high 35 points, beating his career NBA record by four points. The Heat made the 2011 NBA Finals and were defeated by the Dallas Mavericks in six games. Game 6 of that Finals series ended up being House's final NBA game ever.

He also posted eight 30-point games that same season and set ASU records in points (736) and points per game (23.0). Also led the team in assists (111) and steals (74), as the 74 steals is tied for second on ASU single-season list. He is one of only three players to average in double figures in four consecutive seasons at Arizona State since it joined the Pac-10.

He also is the career record-holder at Arizona State for field goals and steals, and set the single-season scoring average record for the school with 23.0 points per game in 1999–2000. During that season he was named Pac-10 Player of the Week a record-tying four times (matched only by Ed O'Bannon, Chris Mills, Gary Payton, and Quincy Pondexter). Eddy's personal bathroom was first seen at the beginning of "Over Your Ed" and then made appearances in "X Marks the Ed," "A Twist of Ed," and "Cleanliness Is Next to Edness." It's just like a regular bathroom, except it has a shower stall instead of a bathtub.

House set a single-game Arizona State record with a 61-point effort in a 111–108 double-overtime victory against the California Golden Bears on the road in his senior season. The point total tied Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Pac-10 single game record and was the highest total for the 1999–2000 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.[2] It also was a memorable homecoming of sorts for him, as he had starred in high school for nearby Hayward High School. House also set a record in the game with 18 made free throws in 19 attempts. House is the first Pac-10 player to notch four 40-point games in one season as he had 61 vs. Cal, 46 vs. San Diego State, 42 vs. Penn State and 40 vs. UCLA.

In previous interviews, several former employees spoke to Our Town Reno anonymously about difficult youths to deal with, from racist, hateful language to fights and safety concerns at check-in during late hours when there are fewer employees around. The Eddy House offers emergency and transitional shelter, with lockers outside, and meals, therapy, classes, and GED education inside. The 2024 United States House of Representatives elections in Oregon will be held on November 5, 2024, to elect the 6 U.S. representatives from the State of Oregon, one from each of the state's congressional districts. The elections will coincide with the 2024 U.S. presidential election, as well as other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate, and various state and local elections. A 2016 New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) study noted Eddy County had 48 drug overdose deaths from 2010 to 2014.

Eddy's house is briefly seen in the beginning of Ed, Edd n Eddy's Jingle Jingle Jangle. Eddy's parents stash their gifts to Eddy under the attic's floor boards. It first appeared in "Quick Shot Ed" where The Eds were looking around in the attic to find junk when they stumbled upon an old Polaroid camera. It was seen again in Ed, Edd n Eddy's Jingle Jingle Jangle where Eddy searched the attic for his parent's Christmas present stash which was hidden under the floor boards. Its last appearance was in "May I have this Ed?" where the Eds tried to teach Edd how to dance and talk to girls by having him practice on a mannequin in the attic.

Designer furnished spaces, utilities, household essentials, routing housekeeping, Wifi, weekly programming and access to our incredible amenity spaces are covered under our all-inclusive monthly rate. His room is complete with a car where he keeps some of his stuff in the trunk including a pet snake. There is also an air vent underneath a rug which is also bricked-off and a box which reads "In Case of Movie, Break Glass" on one of his walls, which contains the key to his car, disguised as a peanut. The key to the room, most likely for the outside lock, was seen in "Smile for the Ed" when Eddy's mother offered him the chance to move into the room if he takes a good school picture for the year. His room is only seen in "O-Ed Eleven" and Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show.

The reason why it's Eddy's personal bathroom is because the only way to enter it is through a door in Eddy's room. An exception is in "X Marks the Ed," where it's on the second floor, suggesting it's a general bathroom for the house, also supported by it holding many of his parents' healthcare products in that same episode. Separated from the living room by a hallway, the den is lined with wooden flooring and contains much more suitable furnishing than the living room such as a couch, shelving cabinet, end table, lamp, and a stereo system. The den is also directly connected to Eddy's bedroom via a door in the corner (though this is contradicted in later episodes where the door is shown to lead directly into his personal bathroom).

Compared to the den, the living room is furnished with green flooring though it's noticeably lacking in actual furniture save for a rug, a potted plant, and a framed picture of a beach. The living room contains the landing for the stairwell that leads to the second floor as well as cased openings that lead to the kitchen and hallways. In "Over Your Ed," it was shown to have a large walk-in closet called the "Closet of Dreams." Curiously, while it contains a multitude of clothes, Eddy is only seen wearing his normal clothes, the clothes that his parents just bought him, and his coat. Eddy's closet may have access to hammerspace, as his closet looks very long, yet his house doesn't have a long piece that matches the length of the closet.

Eddy has a white and pink, retro-styled room that also has a door that leads to his backyard. For sleeping, he has a king-sized circular bed with a box of tissues on top of the headboard. Below it is a moderate food and drink supply designed to act as a 'bunker' in case of emergency. The dresser is later seen, in "To Sir with Ed," moved inside Eddy's closet.

He was selected by the Miami Heat in the second round (47th overall) of the 2000 NBA draft. He played in Miami for three seasons before leaving for the Los Angeles Clippers in free agency. After just one year in Los Angeles, House was traded to the Charlotte Bobcats.

House attended Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, on a full-ride scholarship.[1] He is the all-time scoring leader at ASU with 2,044 points in his career, and is the only player to score more than 2,000 points. He, Ike Diogu, and James Harden are the only three Sun Devils to be named Pac-10 Player of the Year, and he was the fifth Sun Devil to be voted onto the All-Conference team twice. “It’s kind of great to hear about somebody’s why like, you know, what happened and why are you working so hard now,” she said of former clients, now independently housed, studying for better futures or already working full time at rewarding jobs.

Sometimes in the background, a clock with a tropical island on it is seen hanging on his wall behind the spotted chair. There is also a door in the other corner of his room (between the 70's fireplace and his record player) that leads to his personal bathroom. At the end of "To Sir with Ed," the door which usually leads to the backyard leads to Eddy's living room instead. In Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show, the door that leads to his personal bathroom leads to the hallway instead. Charging stations for your devices and ventilation to stay cool, plus a secured safe box for your valuables. All Eddy properties are completely move-in ready and offer month to month flexibility.

A guard known for his three-point shooting, House played for nine NBA teams in 11 seasons in the league. He was a member of the Boston Celtics team that won the NBA championship in 2008. Martinez said more education was needed for Eddy County adults and youth.

Patrons were able to move about under the city, boozing it up without a care in the world, while the Mayor’s office ran the supply of hootch. He is the son of Edward House and Deborah Buck, and has two brothers, Diallo Buck and Mychal House. During his rookie season with Miami in 2000–01, he married the sister of professional basketball player Mike Bibby. The couple has three sons, Jaelen, who is currently playing basketball for University of New Mexico, and twins Kaden and Kalek. Both Eddie House and Mike Bibby played for the Sacramento Kings in 2004–05 and the Miami Heat in 2010–11. His son Jaelen played college basketball at his alma mater for one year before transferring to the University of New Mexico.

Photos & Fun Facts About Abandoned California Theme Parks

Valadao regained his seat in 2020 and was one of 10 House Republicans to vote for Trump’s impeachment after the Jan. 6 insurrection. Once a safely ruby-red Republican domain, California’s 22nd Congressional District is in a part of the San Joaquin Valley that has grown increasingly purple in recent years, with Democrats now holding the registration advantage. “I think Tran has much more of an uphill battle to be able to get his issues and his name into voters’ minds,” DeSipio said. That will be compounded by two things, said UC Irvine political science professor Louis DeSipio. Steel has a massive fundraising advantage, with more than $3 million on hand compared to Tran’s nearly $200,000. Baugh also has some vulnerabilities, including a political misconduct case he faced in the 1990s that resulted in a $47,900 fine.

The Fun Times Guide

Nestled in a farmhouse built in 1912, on the corner of a quiet street in Black Mountain, you’ll find The Bush. Though this dining establishment has a lauded reputation for turning out hearty, flavorful foods, it’s more than a restaurant—it’s a gathering place, with an open-air vibe that transports visitors to the South African savanna. The park closed in 1975 and was sold to Movieland Wax Museum, which operated for short time as a Polynesian-themed park known as Enchanted Village. In 1979, expansions at the brewery necessitated closure of the former theme park facility, and the birds were rehomed at the Los Angeles Zoo and the 2 Busch Gardens parks in Tampa and Williamsburg — which opened in 1959 and 1975, respectively.

Henegan's route to Black Mountain

Rot and arson took as much of the pier as they could, until the early ’70s, when whatever was left was torn down. Rides were added and subtracted over the years, but interest declined through the 1940s, and in 1956 CBS and the Los Angeles Turf Club turned it into the Modernist wonderland of Pacific Ocean Park. Usually, we expect to start harvesting about the last week of March or the first week of April. THE BUSH BLACK MOUNTAIN launched in 2021, celebrates South African- inspired food and drink, with locally prepared ingredients and fresh produce from our garden.

The district includes Orange County’s Little Saigon and Vietnamese Americans account for about 17% of voters, according to Political Data, Inc. First elected in 2020, incumbent GOP Rep. Michelle Steel will be fighting to defend her seat in a C-shaped inland Orange County district that also includes a sliver of L.A. The coastal Orange County district includes the cities of Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Irvine and Newport Beach. It’s a majority white district, with not insubstantial Asian and Latino populations. The Los Angeles Alligator Farm opened in 1907 in Lincoln Heights with thousands of alligators, plus some turtles, snakes, and iguanas.

As a first-time candidate emerging from a crowded primary, Tran faces the challenge of building name recognition against a candidate who is already well known in the district. Back in 2022, Republican Scott Baugh narrowly lost to Rep. Katie Porter (D-Irvine), coming just a few points short of unseating a nationally known Democratic Party superstar backed by her own fundraising juggernaut. The district at the northern edge of Los Angeles County’s suburban sprawl was staunchly Republican territory for more than a quarter-century before 2018’s blue wave, when a young, dynamic candidate flipped the seat and helped retake Democratic control of the House. “If Democrats are to have any hope of winning the majority, they probably need to win at least three Republican seats in California,” Wasserman said. “Ranch folks” Leo and Viva Murphy opened Ponyland next door to Beverly Park in 1945 (Viva “always had a cigarette dangling out of her mouth while she led children around the pony track,” according to KCET).

CA - 47: State Sen. Dave Min versus Scott Baugh

"I feel so at peace with the space I have right now, and I feel like this is the perfect place at the right time of my life. I love the Appalachian Mountains, the people and the culture, and this little piece of heaven I've found over here." The menu is date stamped giving the impression it changes with the chef’s whim and season. It’s filled with a mix of dishes including charcuterie boards, pommes frites, tinned Portuguese sardines and even a good old-fashioned burger. But other options have more of a South African slant, like Pap & Boerewors, a dish comprised of cornmeal porridge, South African sausage and chakalaka sauce.

LGBTQ+ culture wars surface in heated Riverside County congressional race

Five of the six seats are currently held by Republicans, with four of those five in congressional districts that President Biden won in the 2020 election. While Republicans currently have a razor-thin majority in the House, partisan makeup of next year’s Congress will almost certainly be decided this November — at least in part — by a handful of hypercompetitive California races. Our Los Angeles brewery is located on a 95-acre property in the San Fernando Valley and currently brews over 100 of our beloved brands. The compound had a water storage tank, a fuel tank, a bomb shelter, and various outbuildings and bunkers. The estate's main gate was designed by Paul Williams, a well-known African-American architect in the Southern California area. He moved back to New York when he turned 30, fell in love, got married, opened a restaurant and had his son, Skyler, now the general manager of Bush Farmhouse, all in the same year.

LA’s strange and wonderful lost amusement parks, mapped

Many people who love California theme parks have no idea that Busch Gardens once existed in Los Angeles. As of late February, Democrats held a 13-percentage-point registration advantage, while no party preference voters made up more than a fifth of the electorate. Rides rotated, but included a Little Dipper rollercoaster and a fish-themed Bulgy the Whale ride. Bradley’s wife worked at Disney Studios and she introduced her husband to Walt Disney, who eventually pitched him his idea for Disneyland (Bradley became a consultant on the project). Strangers on a Train filmed at the park, and it was very popular with movie star parents.

Surrounding development and competition from other Southern California attractions forced Jungleland to close. Abbot Kinney’s former partner Alexander Fraser opened the Million Dollar Pier in what was then called Ocean Park (now the borderlands between Venice and Santa Monica). #1 – Jungleland USA (Thousand Oaks) — This zoo and theme park operated from 1926 to 1969. It served for years as a support animal training facility for Hollywood productions, many of which were filmed on property.

After more ownership changes (one of which brought it back to the Goebel family), it closed in 1969 and hundreds of animals were sold at auction. For a while it became a skate park and today is the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. The Pike began as seaside amusement zone in 1902 with a grand bathhouse that was eventually joined by an arcade, shops, fortune tellers, pony rides, games, a Hippodrome, and, as the decades progressed, all manner of rides and rollercoasters. Serious theme park competition emerged in the 1950s and Long Beach began redeveloping the area in the 1970s; by the time the park was demolished in 1979, it was already half ruin.

Yet, the Los Angeles area once boasted not just 1, but 2 Busch Gardens theme parks that were operated by the legendary Anheuser-Busch beer company. Democrats held a five-percentage-point registration advantage as of late February and Biden won the plurality-Asian district in 2020, but despite the registration advantage, Republicans turned out in higher numbers than Democrats in the 2022 midterms. Democrats have a narrow registration advantage, although no party preference registrants account for nearly a quarter of voters. Biden won the district by more than 10 percentage points over Trump in 2020, according to data from California Target Book. The district includes Santa Clarita, Palmdale and Lancaster, encompassing both suburbs and high desert. Democrats have a nearly 12-point registration advantage and Biden won the district by more than 12 points in 2020, according to data from California Target Book.

#3 – Chutes Park (Los Angeles) — Chutes Park opened in 1887 as a trolley park and eventually became a 35-acre amusement park with rides, animal habitats, and shows. It also featured an adjacent baseball stadium where the original Pacific Coast League Los Angeles Angels played. Charles and Muriel Gay opened a lion farm in Westlake back in 1919, and moved it to El Monte in 1924. They trained lions for movies, but opened the park up as a tourist attraction in 1925. Architect William Pereira, whose firm designed CBS Television City and LACMA, created the plans for the oceanarium, along with a restaurant building and inn.

The park traded hands in 1910 and became Luna Park, which closed by 1913 upon expansion of the baseball stadium (Chutes Park ball field). Locals and visitors still imbibe on free tours of the Anheuser-Busch brewery at Roscoe Boulevard in Van Nuys. Springtime brought parties for high-rollers and Easter egg hunts for children — the latter a tradition started at the park years earlier. Democratic infighting in the 2024 primary, when Salas faced competition from fellow Democrat Melissa Hurtado, cost the party establishment millions to consolidate support behind Salas. The district had low Democratic turnout in 2022 but favored Biden by 11 points in 2020, according to data from California Target Book.
